Hello!
My name is Jacie Green. I am a Senior Educator at Wichita State University. I earned a master's degree in Aging Studies from Wichita State University and a bachelor's degree in education, majoring in community health at the University of Kansas. As a faculty member, I am passionate about sharing my enthusiasm for gerontology, improving students' knowledge, attitudes, and expectations towards aging. I especially enjoy connecting with and helping students realize their true potential and expanding their view on the aging population through intergenerational activities.

Prior to my role as a faculty member, I was a graduate student in the Aging Studies program at WSU and enjoyed my time as a SilverSneakers instructor for the ElDorado YMCA.
My Story
My heart for the aging population started with my grandparents. I was very fortunate to have grown up so close to grandparents on both sides of my family. I spent many years as a child at my Nana and Papa's house and at my Grandpa Bill's house. They were (are) my inspiration for studying aging. Even though they are no longer with us on this side of heaven, their presence lives on through every story I hear and connection I have the pleasure making throughout Connecting Generations. Faith and the love of Jesus was their greatest legacy; I aim to echo those values in the work that I do every day.
